UFS hungry for more points ahead of UJ clash [VIDEO]

UFS centre-back Philani Zondi says the Kovsies remain hungry for more points after securing their first Varsity Football victory of the season with a comeback win over UL last week.

With UFS now preparing to face table-toppers UJ, Zondi believes the squad has plenty of confidence but knows another difficult challenge awaits.

"To be honest, the team feels happy after the win last week, but at the same time we think we still have more work to do. We need more points in the upcoming game."

"Limpopo's game was tough, but we managed to get three points, and we are happy about it. We hope we can get three points again in the next game against the tough UJ side."

Zondi also backed newly appointed Bafana Bafana head coach Pitso Mosimane to succeed in his new role.

"I think he's going to do a great job - I trust him. Pitso is a good coach, and I believe he's going to do a good job there."

The defender also revealed his Premier Soccer League (PSL) allegiance.

"My favourite team is Orlando Pirates. I think they are going to do well - their squad is there, and their coach is very good."
