TUT target crucial win against DUT to stay in hunt for semi-final spot

TUT winger Likho James says confidence is growing in the camp as they prepare for a crucial Varsity Football clash against DUT this Friday.

The Tshwane side have endured a challenging start to the campaign, facing strong opposition while trying to find consistency. However, James believes their performances and experience are helping the team build momentum as the competition reaches a crucial stage.

"The season so far has been tough, and the way we started games, we started playing with a lot of strong teams,” said James.

"But the more we play games, the more we become confident in ourselves, and I think the team will feel strong."

With the race for the semi-finals still wide open, James knows there is little room for error. TUT are determined to make the most of Friday’s encounter and keep their knockout hopes alive.

"The log standing is very open - but as much as it's open, one loss can destroy us not making it to the semi-finals,” he adds.

"But the win against DUT on Friday can make us compete for the top four and qualify us for the semi-finals. So, this win is very important for us this coming Friday."
