Tuks building momentum at right time [VIDEO]

UP-Tuks head coach Nic Stothard praised his side’s response after they returned to winning ways with a convincing 3-0 victory over UJ at Tuks Stadium.

The result came after Tuks were looking to bounce back from their previous outing against Wits, with Stothard pleased with the way his players responded on home soil.

"We needed to bounce back as we didn't have a good result in our previous game against Wits," he said.

"And we have bounced back in a good fashion, creating lots of chances which worked for us."

The Pretoria-based outfit had also defeated UL 3-0 at home last week, highlighting their attacking threat as they continue their Varsity Football campaign.

Stothard believes this year’s Tuks side has developed a different approach in front of goal, with goals coming more consistently and from different areas of the team.

"This year things are different on our side; we score regularly, and we score differently."

With momentum building, Tuks will look to maintain their attacking form in the matches ahead.
