Striker Tyrese Davids says UWC focused on one game at a time [VIDEO]

UWC striker Tyrese Davids is embracing his first Varsity Football campaign and believes the key to success is keeping the team focused on one game at a time.

With UWC pushing for a strong finish to the tournament, Davids says the squad has its sights set on the bigger prize but will not get ahead of itself.

“Honestly, I think we should focus on our next game, take it step by step, get the three points, the bigger picture, of course, we want to win the [tournament], but we focus on our next game,” he said.

For Davids, his debut Varsity Football campaign has been made even more special by the bond within the UWC squad. The striker praised his teammates for the support and unity they have shown throughout the tournament.

“Honestly, it's my first time playing this tournament. It's a wonderful tournament, and my team - there's not one thing I could change about my brothers - I love them to bits.”

With the stakes rising, Davids and UWC will now look to turn that togetherness into results as they continue their title charge.
