CPUT focused on one clear goal for Varsity Football Women 2025

CPUT Womens Football is gearing up with great anticipation and preparation as they look forward to competing in the upcoming Varsity Women’s Football 2025 season, aiming to make their mark and showcase their talent on the national stage.

The Cape side have been putting in a tireless effort ahead of the new season, working hard on the training ground and sharpening their overall readiness to ensure they hit the ground running when the competition kicks off.

Head coach Sibongiseni Khamlana expressed confidence in her squad, noting that her side has been preparing diligently and showing promising progress ahead of the new season.

“The team is looking sharp and well-prepared for the tournament, and we are eagerly looking forward to the challenge ahead,” said Khamlana.

“The preparations are going smoothly, with the team looking sharp, focused, and ready for the season ahead.”

Khamlana is fully aware of what to expect in this year’s campaign and has set her focus firmly on one clear goal.

“Our goal is to go all the way and win it and I think that is all possible with the kind of squad we have, a kind of players we have,” she said.

“The players are looking forward to the tournament and we will lead by Cleo Smidt as our captain this year.”
